How much is entry into the expo?
Entry is $5.00 per person with children under 12 free.
Please be considerate when paying your $5.00 entry fee at the gates.
While every effort is taken, it becomes terribly difficult to give change to every member of the public handing over a $50.00 note at the entrances to acquire change for the plant stalls.
Please consider having the correct money (or close to it) when paying your entry fee.
Can I get a pass-out?
Yes, after you have paid your entry fee, you will receive a programme and/or a stamp. Show your programme or the stamp when re-entering the expo grounds.
Are the grounds wheelchair friendly?
Yes, the grounds are wheelchair friendly with suitable toilet facilities on site. While not a permanent parking area, a drop-off and pick up point is located at the expo entrances on both Green Street and Eileen Street, Booval. For the location of disabled toilet facilities, please refer to the site map.
Is there a plant crèche on site?
Yes, a plant crèche service will be available on the day for a gold coin donation. The crèche is located in the Centre Car Park area at the Glebe road end. You can purchase your plants and items, drop them off at the crèche and pick them up again when you are ready to leave. A car pick-up is available on Glebe Road outside the Plant Creche
What happens if I need first aid?
EMT Medical Services will be available all day for any medical requirements or emergencies. They will be located in “Shalom House” near the Green Street entry – site map reference 75.
Is there a bus drop-off and pick-up point?
Yes, the drop-off and pick-up point for buses is located at the Garden Expo entrance in front of Shalom House, corner of Glebe Road and Green Street, Booval – site map reference 75. Please note: This is not a bus parking area. It is drop-off and pick-up point only.
Where is the Speaker’s Forum located?
The Speaker’s Forum is located in the church hall at the back of the church auditorium. Refer to site map reference 59.
Is there an ATM facility at the Garden Expo?
An ATM facility is on site at the Ipswich Home Gardener’s Expo to provide extra cash if required. However; we also recommend you try and bring enough cash with you. Should this ATM run out of cash (unlikely), other ATM machines are located at the Booval Shopping Centre, which is a 10-minute walk away.
When can exhibitors start setting up stalls?
Stall holders located within the main hall (Fellowship Centre) are able to set up their stall on the Friday afternoon/evening before the event by prior arrangement with the Secretary….refer “Contacts” page. All other stall holders can have access to their stalls on the day of the event (Saturday) from 4:30 am. NOTE: All vehicles need to be off site by 8:00 am and all stalls need to be set up by 8:15 am so the gates can open at the advertised time of 8:30 am.
Is there specific exhibitor parking?
While setting up stalls, you may park on site or close to the expo entrances to offload goods. Please be considerate of other stall holders who also wish to use these zones. When finished offloading goods, please remove your vehicle and park it on one of the surrounding side streets to enable the public to park closer to the expo. After all, more available parking encourages more customers to visit your stall.
Where can I get a flyer for the Expo?
You can download a Flyer by going to the “Home Gardener’s Exp 2018” page and download a copy from there. Accordingly; if you especially are a stall holder, you can help to advertise the Garden Expo by downloading a Flyer or putting it on your Web Site and/or Face Book.
Can exhibitors specify where they want their stall to be situated?
All requests for specific site locations will be considered and accommodated if possible, but not guaranteed. Allocated stall space is distributed as fairly as possible but there are many determining factors which may prevent exhibitors gaining the stall position they desire. We ask for your understanding in these instances.
